Déjà vu
2021
I spent my first summer as a mother breastfeeding under the tent of an Orfei circus in Sicily, among unconventional families, constantly on the move.
In that little corner of the world, work and dreams intertwine, creating a non-place where children belong to everyone, where houses have no walls, and where every living being, willingly or unwillingly, supports one another. Everything is dismantled and reassembled over and over again... in a smart and wise dance, in a place where swords are swallowed, melt, and act as portals allowing you to travel between happy worlds.
Here, every body has decided not to care about the laws of gravity, hippos babysit, shadows bring light, and sequins are always and everywhere on everyone (no matter their gender or age).
A non-place where everyone who is part of it dedicates themselves to creating something that brings relief to young and old alike... creating a time in which another world is possible.
